LADDERS

 

Ladders are a very essential part of any map, let alone cs maps. So listen up and we will make one.

First of all select a ladder texture. Type { in the texture browser and then choose a ladder.

Next we need to make a block that will be the ladder. Make it 4 units wide (smallest grid size)

Now once you have it to the size you want you have to make this into a FUNC_WALL. To do this press CTRL+T and choose FUNC_WALL.

Why not func_ladder? Well the func_ladder is invisible and the player climbs this but we need something that looks like a ladder there first. All will be revealed.

Now, choose the options as displayed below:

Now that you have done this copy the ladder and drag the copy in front of the ladder so it covers it like so:

 

And make sure you apply this texture to help identify it.

Finally make that new block a FUNC_LADDER

 

There we go, all done! Run it and test in game!
